Just as every woman is unique, so is menopause. Menopause itself also changes over a period of time, so you should listen to your own body. During early menopause, many women use one tablet a day. After that, one tablet twice a day is average. During very stressful or emotional times, you may use up to three a day.

How does it help?
By bringing your body into balance, it lessens the severity, duration, and/or frequency of hot flashes, mood swings, insomnia and other conditions associated with menopause.

Why is this formula all herbal?
Herbs are Mother Nature?s most natural and potent helpers. They can gently, safely and effectively help bring your body back into balance during this difficult transitional time.

Is it safe?
Yes. All of the herbs in MENO-SELECT have been used safely for hundreds of years. MENO-SELECT, like all Earth?s Bounty products, is manufactured under the strictest procedures and highest quality control standards.

What is the difference between MENO-SELECT and WOMAN'S SELECT?
MENO-SELECT is designed as an on-going supplement to help compensate for the change of life. WOMAN?S SELECT is designed for temporary use in relief of menstrual symptoms.

Herb Function

The following are brief descriptions of the ingredient herbs in MENO-SELECT.

Black Cohosh Root
In Western countries, up to 78 percent of menopausal women experience hot flashes, and 50 percent suffer from accompanying psychological disorders. Today, women are concerned about the health risks of hormone-replacement therapy (HRT). Fortunately, scientific research shows that black cohosh can be just as effective as HRT in addressing physical symptoms of menopause and superior to drugs such as diazepam (Valium) in treating psychological symptoms. More and more women are rediscovering black cohosh to ease the transitions through the ?change of life.? Volumes of research show that black cohosh reduces the physical symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, headaches, heart palpitations, dizziness and vaginal atrophy. Black cohosh also relieves the psychological symptoms such as insomnia, nervousness, irritability, and depression.

Sarsaparilla
Sarsaparilla has a long medicinal history as a tonic and blood purifier. The saponins that are present in herb are responsible for the wide range of tonic uses. Herbalists prescribe it as an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and restorative.

Eleuthero
Commonly known as Siberian ginseng, eleuthero?s medical history dates back 2000 years. The Chinese believe that this important adaptogenic herb can provide energy and vitality, and increase quality of life. Scientists have shown Eleuthero to increase stamina and endurance and protect the body systems against stress-related illness. It has the proven ability to boost nonspecific resistance of the body to a wide range of chemical, physical, psychological and biological stressors.

Wild Yam
This valuable herb was, at one time, the sole source of chemicals that were used as the raw materials for contraceptive hormone manufacture. Herbalists use wild yam as a remedy to ease dysmenorrhoea and ovarian and uterine pains. As an antispasmodic and relaxant, wild yam can be used in cases of nervous excitability and give relief from not only uterine pains, but also abdominal and intestinal irritations and spasms and nausea.

Chaste Tree
The Chastetree?s origin is in the Mediterranean, where it has a long folk history of use in women?s health, especially for mild to moderate complaints associated with menstruation and menopause. Studies show a progesterone-like effect from the essential oils present in both the berries and the leaves. An excellent uterine tonifier, several human clinical trials have shown beneficial results with using chastetree in treating women with menopausal symptoms and a variety of female health complaints.

Damiana
Damiana is an aromatic shrub native to Mexico. It has a long history as not only a powerful aphrodisiac, but as a mild diuretic, laxative, nervine and central nervous system stimulant. Science shows that it is effective for women in treating painful menstruation, headaches and menopause disorders. The Herbal Materia Medica says that damiana is an excellent strengthening remedy for the nervous system
