What is i-flex® / Where does it come from?

i-flex®is a joint health solution containing a 100% natural, specialized and patented form of rosehippowder from carefully selected sources. The i-flex® product is a capsule that contains this specialized rosehip powder.

What is a rosehip / What is rosa canina?
A rose hip is a “fruit” or “bud” of the rose bush that is left after the actual rose flower has flowered. Rosa canina is the latin plant name given to this particular form of rosehip. The rosehip is harvested and frozen to preserve the nutritional value of the fruit. The “peach fuzz” or “tiny hairs” are removed from the surface of the fruit, then it is slowly dried, milled and encapsulated to make i-flex®.

Is i-flex® clinically proven?

i-flex® is backed by not 1, not 2, but 3 published clinical studies consisting of over 300 people. These studies are randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind clinical studies – a study design that is considered the “gold standard” by the scientific community. Taking the specialized rosehip powder used in i-flex®helps to soothe joints, improve joint mobility/ function and improve quality of life. In a recent clinical study, 82% of people experienced this joint soothing effect… that equals 4 out of 5 people. There are also two pilot studies, one additional unpublished clinical study and one published meta-analysis. All the studies consistently demonstrate the efficacy and safety of i-flex®.

How does i-flex® work to soothe my joints?
In-vitro studies show that the antioxidant action and the unique activity of i-flex® may prevent damaging cell reactions caused by chemokines (KE-MO-Kines) and interleukins (inter-LU-kins) in your joint6-8.  These studies also found that i-flex® helps reduce the oxidative activity that speeds the deterioration of your joints.

The specialized rosehip powder in i-flex® also contains many important components that contribute to its joint-soothing properties. Chief among these ingredients is a galactolipid (guh-lack-toe-lip-id), which has been shown in published scientific studies to support joint health. Scientists believe that these galactolipids may work by restricting the flow of white blood cells into joint space and joint tissue. These white blood cells could otherwise contribute to further deterioration of joint health. Other important naturally-occurring components include antioxidants vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene, other minerals and bioflavonoids.

How long does i-flex® take to work?
A recent clinical study has shown that the specialized rosehip powder in i-flex® can work in as little as 3 weeks.  Although there are no direct comparison studies with glucosamine, separate studies suggest that glucosamine hydrochloride (hydro-clore-ide) typically takes from 6 to 8 weeks to start to feel an effect!

Is i-flex® safe / Does i-flex® have any side effects?
i-flex® is safe. Rosehip powder has a long history of safe use as a food in Europe and the United States…hundreds of years of safe use!
This gentle and natural dietary supplement has shown no side effects different from placebo in all clinical studies. Even doses of up to 45g per day, which is about ten times the recommended daily dose, have been well tolerated!

Is it all natural?
i-flex® is 100% natural and completely drug-free with NO preservatives. It’s also derived from a plant (the wild rosebush), not animals. Did you know that glucosamine typically comes from the exoskeletons (X-O-skeletons) of ground up shellfish?

Additionally, i-flex® contains: NO dairy, NO sugar, NO gluten, NO fillers or binders and is non-gmo!

How do I take i-flex®
How many pills do I have to take?
How many times per day do I take it?

We recommend to start with 3 capsules, twice per day. After you begin to feel benefits, you may choose to reduce the dose to effect, which may be 2 capsules twice per day. The dosage can be adapted to personal physical condition, but we do not recommend an intake of less than 4 capsules per day. As with any dietary supplement, dosage may vary from person to person.

How big is the bottle / How long will one bottle last me?
One bottle of i-flex® has 120 capsules. At 3 capsules twice per day (4½ grams per day), the initial bottle will last for 20 days. After you begin to feel benefits, however, you may choose to reduce the dose to 2 capsules twice per day. At this rate, one bottle will last you 30 days.

How big are the i-flex® capsules?
The i-flex® capsules are size double zero (00) gelatin capsules and contain 750 milligrams of the specialized rosehip powder. This is slightly smaller than an inch in length, only a quarter of an inch in diameter and similar to most of the glucosamine and glucosamine / chondroitin products that are on the market.

For how long should I continue taking i-flex®?
i-flex® has been shown to provide significant joint health benefits in as little as three weeks, but we recommend to continue taking i-flex® to prevent these benefits from disappearing.
Don’t forget, i-flex® is NOT a drug, it’s a natural product made from rosehips, and should become part of your every day supplement regimen to support a healthy active lifestyle.

Does i-flex® work better than glucosamine and chondroitin?
Although i-flex® was never tested head-to-head against glucosamine / chondroitin, we can make a few comparative assumptions on i-flex® product characteristics and the typical glucosamine/chondroitin products in the market. Additionally, we can compare the independent studies on i-flex® and existing separate studies on glucosamine and chondroitin

What is the difference between i-flex® and regular rosehip powder?
Since many of the components of rosehippowder are heat and light sensitive, great care is taken to process the rosehip powder in i-flex® under carefully controlled conditions. The rosehips are first frozen upon harvest. Then a patented low-temperature drying process is used to ensure the rosehips are never unnecessarily heated to extreme temperatures. This careful, patented drying process preserves the active components of the gentle rosehip. It’s also what makes i-flex® unique from other rosehip products, which are typically left in the hot sun to “dry out” the rosehip, causing it to lose its active nutrient value.

I have diabetes and have been told that I cannot take glucosamine or chondroitin. Can I take i-flex® to soothe my joints?
Before taking any supplement, be sure to consult with your doctor about any possible interactions. With that, it’s important to note that i-flex® contains NO added sugars and additionally, i-flex® is NOT a precursor to glucose and it should NOT raise your blood sugar levels.

Who makes i-flex®?
i-flex® is manufactured and marketed by DSM, a Global life sciences company that has been in existence for over 100 years. DSM takes product, quality and efficacy very seriously, as they provide the very highest quality vitamins for the supplement, food and beverage brands that people use every day… not just in the U.S., but around the world in over 49 countries.
