CoQ10 Fermented vs Synthetic

Healthy Origins CoQ10Extensive research evidences that CoQ10 should be considered a cornerstone of any comprehensive individual nutrition program whether an individual is young or old, healthy or not so healthy.

However, all CoQ10 is not created equal. There are both natural and synthetic varieties of the ingredient. Natural CoQ10 (trans-isomer) is preferred because it is fermented from yeast and is identical to our body’s own CoQ10 and better assimilated. Also, research studies on the health benefits of CoQ10 have been conducted with the trans-isomer form. Synthetic CoQ10 (CIS form) is chemically processed using tobacco and while is cheaper, is considered to be impure and difficult to absorb.
